What to Expect

Visiting any church for the first time can be an uncertain experience.  We want your visit to Emmanuel Baptist to be a friendly, refreshing, and Christ centered experience for your whole family.  You can expect Christ honoring music, sound Bible teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and right at home!  Here are answers to a few questions about what you might expect on your first visit.

Service Schedule

Sunday School:  10:00 AM
Sunday Morning Worship:  11:00 AM
Children’s Choir Practice:  4:45 PM
Prayer Meeting:  5:30 PM
Sunday Evening Worship:  6:00 PM

What can my children expect?

There is something for every child from birth to Sr. High.  Our Nursery is available for newborn to age 3 for every service.  Sunday School offers Bible centered classes for children Pre K through Sr. High.  During the Sunday morning service we have a Children’s Church for children ages 4 through 10.

What can the adults expect?

We have a traditional worship service.  The music will be Christ honoring and doctrinally infused whether the song was written yesterday or a century ago.  The music service will be followed by expository preaching from Bro. Harris that will challenge and encourage you.  We use the Authorized King James version of the Bible.  Also before the morning service there is an Adult Sunday School class held in the main auditorium.  Come early, grab some coffee, and join in on some interesting conversations around “the coffee table”!

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Emmanuel Baptist Church for members or guests but we do believe that what we wear should honor God.  After all we are at His house!  Our ministry leaders dress in more traditional Sunday dress; however, among the congregation you will see everything from jeans to suits.

How do I get there?

We are located at 1322 N. Bolton St. between Hwy 175 and Hwy 69.  Click here for a map of our location.

If there is something we missed, feel free to contact us, or ask someone when you arrive.  Whether you’re looking for a church home or just passing through we hope your visit to Emmanuel Baptist will be great!  We look forward to meeting you and hope you feel right at home the moment you walk in.
